How to Internationalize Dr. Beam
Pro
- Reverse the Moment Diagram
-
- Select Options:Plot Scales:Moment Scale... from the menubar.
Enter a negative number for the plot scale. This will make the Moment
diagram plot on the tensile, rather than the compression, side of
the beam.
Next, open the Preferences dialog by selecting Edit:Preferences...
from the menu. Click on the
tab. Check the Save Current Plot Scales checkbox.
This will ensure that your modification to the Moment Scale is preserved
for use in future Dr. Beam Pro files.
-
- Default to Metric Units
-
- Open the global Preferences dialog by selecting Edit:Preferences...
from the menubar. Click on the
tab. Select
the preferred units from the popups and click
. Congratulations, you will never see feet or inches again.
-
- Make Your Default Beam Your Own
-
- Select Edit:Preferences... to open the global Preferences dialog.
Click on the
tab. Enter the preferred
default values for E, I, and Length. Make sure you have already entered
your new default units so they show up in this dialog. Confirm your
selection by clicking . These values will
now be used for each new Dr. Beam Pro file you open.
